FDA Okays PET/MRI Scanner

The FDA has cleared the first device that simultaneously performs PET and MRI scans.
 
Using a single system, the Siemens Biograph mMR shows the function of organs, soft tissues, and other internal bodily structures (PET), while providing simultaneous images (MRI) of those organs. The PET/MRI scanner offers reduced total radiation dose and increased soft-tissue contrast, the FDA said in a statement.

Who We Are?

Pulse Heart Centre is a cardiology out-patient services clinic aimed at providing a quick and reliable diagnosis and treatment for heart-related conditions. It is borne with the idea that compassion is as important as the medication when handling matters of the heart.
This website is designed to help the patients to schedule an appointment, to register for newsletter, to ask the doctor a question and to submit opinion. A brief update on the various cardiac diseases is also available for the patients to browse. A separate section for cardiologists and another for the medical students is available with academic materials including news and webcasts.
 
Dr. M.S.S. Mukharjee who heads the centre is a well qualified and affable cardiologist who ensures that a diagnosis is quickly made and an optimal treatment is given. He is ably supported by his qualified technicians and staff, who ensure a pleasant interaction for the patient.
 
At Pulse Heart Centre, the basic cardiology out-patient services are provided: Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiography (2D-Echo, as it is popularly known) and Treadmill exercise stress test (TMT) are done regularly. Rigorous protocols are put in place to maintain highest standards of the tests done.
 
Realizing that the patients are really anxious to know about their cardiac status, at Pulse Heart Centre, the patient-waiting time and the investigations time is greatly minimized and quick answers are given.
